Simone Cameron - Secretary

Simone Cameron first met Scott Richardson at Southland Boys’ High School where they worked together as teachers for many years, and she managed to become the ‘van driver’ for the regional cooking competitions. A self-confessed ‘fussy’ foodie Simone loves exploring new cuisines and restaurants but her most annoying trait according to Scott is ordering off menu.  Due to Scott’s influence she has enjoyed dining at several top international  restaurants.  Simone is still working at Southland Boys’ High School as a Media Studies and Social Sciences teacher, encouraging young men to be passionate about their futures.

Ethan Flack - Chair Person

Ethan Flack is a born and bred Southland chef, who has spent ten years honing his skills overseas before returning home in 2021. Ethan’s culinary journey started when Scott took him under his wing in Year 9 at Southland Boys’ High School. This friendship continued long after Boys’ High and saw them travel, eat and learn together.

Ethan has focused his career on working in kitchens that have all had a direct connection to the garden and the soil. Working to the seasons is the core of his culinary ethos and he has returned to Southland excited to find and showcase the premium produce found across the land and sea. He is passionate about knowing where produce comes from and spends time with all the specialist local producers he incorporates into his menus..
